Retrieve Medical Holdings’ wholly owned subsidiary Retrieve Medical has deployed its Retrieve Dx software in two of Louisianan Community Health System’s community hospitals, enhancing medical documentation accuracy and streamlining workflows.

These facilities, which currently accommodate more than 150 inpatient beds and handle upwards of 44,000 emergency department visits annually, are now equipped with the new tool.

The Retrieve Dx software has been deployed across both the emergency department and the hospital medicine teams.

According to Retrieve Medical, in the US, hospital revenue is closely related to the Case Mix Index (CMI), which relies heavily on precise medical documentation.

The company said its software aims to enhance this key aspect by efficiently identifying critical comorbidities during patient admissions.

This not only ensures comprehensive patient records but also simplifies the documentation process for clinicians.

The hospitals anticipate that the introduction of the Retrieve Dx Smart App will lead to several notable improvements.

These include an enhanced CMI, which is expected to result in reduced query rates, better reimbursement outcomes, higher quality scores, and less time dedicated to documentation.

In addition, the software’s integration is set to transform patient care delivery by improving efficiency and accuracy.

Retrieve Medical quoted lead nurse informaticist, who is pivotal in the Retrieve Dx software’s implementation, as saying: “The training and launch day were highly successful. It was fantastic to engage with the providers, who were very receptive to the new tools.

“The Retrieve Smart App is a game-changer and I am confident that its benefits will continue to manifest with regular use.”

Retrieve Medical specialises in healthcare technology innovation and is committed to enhancing patient care through advanced software solutions.

The company said its proprietary platform, which integrates seamlessly with electronic medical record providers such as Epic Systems and Oracle Cerner, is set to make a significant impact on the healthcare industry by empowering physicians and improving diagnostic accuracy.
