The Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Humanitarian City (SBAHC), a Middle East based non-profit rehabilitation facility and medical centre, has recently upgraded to the InterSystems TrakCare Mobile Enabled User Interface (MEUI), marking a significant step in its efforts to modernise healthcare delivery.  

The upgrade includes 16 integrations and a transition to cloud-based infrastructure, aiming to streamline clinical workflows and enhance overall user experience.

The latest upgrade also offers flexible deployment options suitable for desktops, tablets, laptops, and phones, supporting the needs of mobile healthcare workers. 

Completed in just seven months, the upgrade has streamlined various hospital operations, including clinical workflows, patient administration, pharmacy, revenue cycle management, and more.  

The scope of the project includes a wide range of rehabilitation specialities and subspecialities.  

These include occupational therapy, aquatic therapy, speech and language therapy, recreational therapy, physiotherapy, vocational therapy, hippotherapy, sexual rehabilitation, home healthcare, and prosthetics and orthotics services. 

The implementation covered a wide range of rehabilitation services and met major revenue management statutory requirements, such as Zatca and Nphies, as well as the Center for National Health Insurance complex rehab workflow integration. 

In addition, the project introduced approximately 60 new forms for Allied Health Professional documentation, moved to a hosted services solution, transitioned from LabTrak to TCLE, and implemented over 180 care plans at SBAHC.  

This has enabled SBAHC to transition to a fully paperless environment, complying with industry standards and best practices.
