Acadia Healthcare Company has announced the formation of a joint venture with ECU Health for the construction of a new behavioral health hospital in the US.
As part of the partnership, the two care providers will build the 144-bed hospital in the medical district of Greenville, North Carolina.
Acadia Healthcare and ECU Health will jointly contribute over $65m to provide access to behavioural health resources in eastern North Carolina.
Scheduled to be ready in 2025, the facility will also function as a teaching hospital wherein students from the Brody School of Medicine will receive training.
The proposed facility to be operated through the joint venture will be a centre of excellence in providing key services on behavioural health.
With specialised clinical teams in place, the hospital will make behavioural healthcare accessible for residents of North Carolina.
