Norton Children’s has announced the inauguration of its new campus in Hikes Point, Kentucky, US.
Located in the former Kmart building off Breckenridge Lane and Taylorsville Road, the new facility represents a $16m investment to improve paediatric care in the community and is the new home to Norton Children’s Autism Center.

The new 45,000ft2 facility also houses Norton Children’s Orthopedics of Louisville, Norton Children’s Medical Group – Hikes Point, and Norton Children’s Eye Care.
Affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, the new 13,000ft2 autism centre will offer family-centred, multidisciplinary care for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) children.
It replaces the old centre located off Eastern Parkway.
The new autism centre includes advanced equipment and technology, along with simulation studio apartment, group therapy rooms, treatment rooms, feeding room, and an activity gym.

The Norton Children’s Orthopedics of Louisville will move to the Hikes Point facility from the Norton Healthcare – St. Matthews campus.
The 16,000ft2 space will more than double its previous centre and will include a rehab/evaluation gym, X-ray and procedure rooms, and 32 exam rooms.
Norton Children’s Medical Group – Hikes Point features trauma, triage, behavioural health and lactation consultation rooms, along with 16 exam rooms.
The 10,000ft2 facility will offer primary sick and preventive care to children.
It replaces the Norton Children’s Medical Group – Dupont located in St. Matthews.
Furthermore, the Norton Children’s Eye Care facility will share the space with its own dedicated rooms.
