This compares to an 14% increase versus Q3 2021.

Notably, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers jobs accounted for a 13% share of the global healthcare industry’s internet of things-related total new job postings in Q3 2022, down 36% over the prior quarter.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers, with a share of 13%, emerged as the top internet of things-related job roles within the healthcare industry in Q3 2022, with new job postings drop by 36% quarter-on-quarter. Miscellaneous Healthcare Support Occupations came in second with a share of 6% in Q3 2022, with new job postings rising by 82% over the previous quarter.

The other prominent internet of things roles include Computer and Information Analysts with a 3% share in Q3 2022, Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a 3% share of new job postings.

Top five companies in healthcare industry accounted for 4% of hiring activity

The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q3 2022 were Cognizant Technology Solutions, Carbon Health Medical Group, Accenture and Cisco Systems. Together they accounted for a combined share of 4% of all internet of things-related active jobs in the healthcare industry.

Cognizant Technology Solutions posted 581 internet of things-related new jobs in Q3 2022, Carbon Health Medical Group 530 jobs, Accenture 308 jobs, and Cisco Systems 179 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

Hiring activity was driven by the US with a 64% share of total active job postings, Q3 2022

The largest share of internet of things-related new job postings in the healthcare industry in Q3 2022 was in the US with 64% followed by India (9%) and Germany (3%). The share represented by the US was seven percentage points higher than the 57% share it accounted for in Q2 2022.
