Christus Health has acquired CardiaStream to create one of the largest cardiology groups in east Texas, US.

Also known as Cardiovascular Associates of East Texas, Tyler-based CardiaStream operates 13 facilities in the region.

Following the acquisition, Cardiastream will join Christus Trinity Clinic Cardiology and become part of the Christus Heart and Vascular Institute.

The acquisition expands Christus’ footprint by adding 12 locations across east Texas, apart from the main location in Tyler.

The acquisition of the cardiology group also adds 14 physicians and specialists to the Christus care team.

Christus Trinity Clinic president Dr Steven Keuer said: “The mission statement of Christus is ‘to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ,’ and it is the ‘extend’ part that really excites us.
