Fisk Electric Company has been awarded an electrical subcontract worth around $41m for the new Gloria Drummond Patient Tower at the Boca Raton Regional Hospital in south Florida.
The subcontract was awarded by Robins & Morton, which is serving as the general contractor for the new Gloria Drummond Patient Tower.
The nine-storey patient tower will have 184 private rooms, advanced surgical suites, critical care units, and a pharmacy.
It will also feature the Michelle and Michael Hagerty Center for Graduate Medical Education, which will more than double the current education space and help to attract and retain top medical school graduates.
Spanning more than 417,000ft², the tower will take the hospital’s area to over 1.08 million square feet.
The project aims to improve healthcare for the expanding South Florida community and is seeking both LEED sustainability certification and WELL certification.

The contract value will be added by the company in Q2 2023.
