Australia-based healthcare communications firm Austco Healthcare has received a A$7.4m ($5.08m) order for its Tacera clinical communications system.

The contract involves supplying the Tacera alarm management and clinical workflow solution for the new St Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, Canada.

Claimed to be the largest contract in Austco’s history, it includes a substantial number of patient stations, clinical workflow terminals and interfaces for system integrations.

St Paul’s Hospital is expected to open in 2026 and aims to ‘transform’ healthcare by integrating various types of care in one facility.

Austco said its Tacera system will facilitate efficient communication and prompt notification of critical messages across the hospital to improve workflow and patient care.

Construction of the hospital is in progress and revenue recognition is anticipated in the current financial year.
