US-based healthcare management and operations firm Nutex Health has opened its newest micro-hospital, Albuquerque ER & Hospital East, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The hospital features an emergency room, with eight private exam rooms, and four inpatient beds. It also offers in-house imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy services.

Nutex Health chairman and CEO Tom Vo said: “We are excited and honoured to open the second location on the east side of Albuquerque.

“Following the success of our first location on the west side, and due to popular demand from the community, we were able to successfully complete this project to provide more accessibility to the great citizens of Albuquerque.

“We are also happy to report that Fort Smith ER & Hospital in Arkansas, the first new hospital we opened in February of this year, is seeing robust patient volumes.”

Nutex Health has two units, including the hospital division, which owns and runs 19 facilities across eight states. This unit operates healthcare models such as micro-hospitals and speciality hospitals, among others.

The company’s other unit, population health management, owns and runs provider networks, including independent physician associations (IPAs).
