McMaster Children’s Hospital, in Ontario, Canada, has launched the new Simulation, Resuscitation, and Outreach Center (SiROC).

Construction of the new centre has been supported by a C$530,000 ($402,721) donation from the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO).

Operated by Hamilton Health Sciences, this facility will provide life-like simulations and hands-on practice for healthcare professionals, helping them to respond to critical medical situations.

The training opportunities offered at SiROC will include clinical skills, basic and advanced life support, tracheostomy care, neonatal and paediatric resuscitation, CPR, and ventilation management.

It will also include paediatric advanced life support, paediatric emergency assessment, recognition, and stabilisation.
