Finland-based dental equipment maker Planmeca has donated five completely furnished mobile dental clinics to Ukraine.

Equipped with high-tech Planmeca dental units and other essential equipment, the clinics were delivered to the country on 21 June.

This clinic’s concept was developed in alliance with Plandent, the Finnish distributor of Planmeca.

The aim is to provide dental care in remote areas or to patients facing difficulties in accessing such facilities.

Under the initiative, Planmeca unit LM-Dental offered hand instruments necessary for routine dental treatments.

Additionally, Finnish hauling services provider Teollisuusmuutot assisted by lifting the clinic vans onto trailers, for free.

Ukr-Medmarket, the Ukrainian distributor of Planmeca, will offer local support and maintenance for the clinics.

Planmeca area export manager Denys Farnalskiy said: “We felt that donating these mobile clinics was the most concrete and effective way to help and contribute our share to a country that is currently facing a challenging time.

“The clinics are fully equipped with state-of-the-art dental solutions and designed to provide much-needed dental care to those who have been affected by the conflict and don’t have access to dental care.

“This initiative is about more than just dental care, it is a symbol of hope and solidarity which shows that the people of Ukraine are not alone and that we stand with them in their time of need.”
