Spanning 230,000ft², the five-level facility is the result of a three-year, $327m campus redevelopment.

The Pavilion features advanced surgical suites, modern maternity facilities, and other expanded healthcare services.

It comprises 76 private patient rooms designed for optimum natural light penetration, as well as ten surgical suites equipped with robotic systems for minimally invasive surgery.

In addition, it features new maternity suites and a neonatal intensive care unit, which will allow for an increase in annual births to 1,800.

The facility also offers an atrium with shopping and dining options and a parking garage featuring charging stations for electric vehicles.

The Pavilion is considered the cornerstone of the hospital campus modernisation project and marks one of Main Line Health’s largest-ever capital investments.

This campus redevelopment is ongoing, with revamp of the hospital’s intensive care unit and other areas expected to be over by the third quarter of next year.

Main Line Health president and CEO Jack Lynch said: “This is a facility that matches the quality of our people.

“It brings them all the tools and capabilities necessary to deliver safe, high-quality and equitable care.

“I can’t wait to see how our team makes use of this building and the impact it will have on the community we serve.”
