US-based healthcare delivery network Lifepoint Health has appointed Jennifer Peters as its executive vice-president, chief administrative and legal officer.
Peters joined Lifepoint in 2013 and has worked for the last six years as its executive vice-president and general counsel.

She will now manage the company’s legal department and lead other departments such as compliance, enterprise risk management, insurance claims, audit assurance, people services and human resources.
Peters had previously worked at Simplex Healthcare and Community Health Systems, as well as a hospital in York, Pennsylvania.
She has a bachelor’s degree from Buffalo State University, a master’s degree in public health from Johns Hopkins University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland.

Lifepoint Health is a healthcare delivery network that consists of 62 community hospital campuses and more than 50 rehabilitation and behavioural health hospitals, along with more than 200 other sites of care.
The company employs more than 50,000 colleagues in total.
In December 2021, it acquired speciality hospital company Kindred Healthcare for an undisclosed amount.
The deal increased Lifepoint’s network to 65 community hospital campuses and more than 30 rehabilitation and behavioural health hospitals across 29 US states.
When closing the deal, Lifepoint also launched ScionHealth, a national health system that combines acute and post-acute hospitals.
