India-based private tertiary care provider Global Health (Medanta) has signed a memorandum of understanding with real estate developer DLF Group to form a company to establish a 400-bed, multi-super speciality hospital in Greater Kailash-I, Delhi.
Both Medanta and DLF will own 50% stakes in the new company, with DLF serving as a strategic investor and Medanta having operational control of the super speciality hospital.
Global Health chairman and managing director Dr Naresh Trehan said: “Our new hospital will bring the best of Medanta’s renowned clinical expertise and patient care closer to the people of Delhi.
“It will offer cutting-edge surgical treatments across specialities under one roof, with the same patient quality safety standards that Medanta has come to be known for.
“It will also become a one-stop solution for all types of cancer treatments and will benefit a large swathe of patients not only in Delhi, but across Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, and other neighbouring states.
This hospital will offer advanced medical and surgical interventions in more than 20 specialities, including cardiac sciences, neurosciences, orthopaedics, transplants, gastroenterology, and chest surgery.

DLF chairman Rajiv Singh said: “We are excited to participate in setting up a world-class hospital in South Delhi at a location, which is closely associated with the origins of our company.
“The new hospital will strengthen the medical infrastructure in Delhi and further strengthen DLF’s deep commitment to improving the quality of life for NCR residents.
This hospital will enhance Medanta’s presence in the National Capital Region, linking with its existing facilities in Gurugram, Noida, and the upcoming South Delhi hospital.
Under Medanta, Global Health has a network of five hospitals currently in operation in Gurugram, Indore, Ranchi, Lucknow, and Patna.
The hospitals in operation have 2,725 beds as of 30 June 2023. One hospital is currently under construction in Noida.
