The Network of Advanced Specialty Healthcare (NASH) has chosen OnQueue, a web-based patient care platform developed by STACK, as its patient management platform.

NASH will use OnQueue to manage patients for surgical and pharmacy services using a task-based system.

NASH CEO Michael Agostino said: “Our unique care model required a solution that would help us manage the patient’s journey from intake through discharge.

“OnQueue gives us the ability to expedite the review and approval of procedures, improve the management of our practices, streamline our operational tasks, and share data across our multiple facilities throughout North America.”

The OnQueue platform offers integrated workflow features such as bidirectional messaging, smart device utilisation and real-time reporting.

It uses advanced conditional logic to manage task-based activities and collect patient data, with the aim of improving value-based care and patient outcomes.

Initially implemented in pharmacies, the software platform now serves other markets, including ambulatory infusion centres, surgery centres and dental practices.

STACK CEO and founder Jonathan Ogurchak said: “The ability to customise the patient experience, capture meaningful information about their experiences, and use that information to inform care moving forward is what OnQueue is all about – and now, we can show how technology can improve the patient care experience in another segment of the industry.”

Based in Omaha, Nebraska, NASH works with self-insured employers to reduce surgical procedure and speciality pharmacy healthcare costs.

The company was founded in 2014 and operates two healthcare delivery centres in Mexico.

It currently provides total hip and knee replacement surgeries and is planning to offer additional procedures in oncology, cardiology, bariatrics, plastic surgery, the spine and other areas in future.

Earlier this year, NASH worked with healthcare non-profit Operation Walk Denver to provide free surgical treatment to arthritis patients in Monterrey, Mexico.
