Annexus Health has formed a strategic alliance with the National Infusion Center Association (NICA), a non-profit representing more than 12,000 infusion sites across the US, Washington, DC, and Puerto Rico.
The NICA aims to make infusion centres a safe and cost-effective alternative to hospitals for patient care.
The partnership will address the financial barriers that many patients face when requiring medications given through infusions, which can cost from $10,000 to $500,000 per year.
Annexus Health’s technology-driven solutions will help infusion centres and healthcare providers assess patients for financial assistance and other crucial resources, making prescribed treatments more accessible and affordable.
Its network includes over 100 provider organisations, with 3,000 sites of care, and its AssistPoint platform comprises more than 8,000 assistance opportunities for various diseases.
The NICA supports and advances the provision of provider-administered medications in non-hospital, community-based care settings, and it focuses on overcoming challenges to sustain affordable care delivery.
