US-based healthcare organisations DispatchHealth and US Acute Care Solutions (USACS) have partnered to improve patient outcomes and cut costs by expanding care access to support patients after their hospital stay with in-home care services.
USACS is an integrated acute care provider that specialises in emergency medicine, hospitalist services, and critical care.
It provides care to approximately ten million patients annually across more than 500 programmes and has partnerships with health systems across the country.
DispatchHealth offers comprehensive medical care at home for individuals with serious health concerns. It provides same-day urgent care, hospital alternative care, and recovery care, with a team of emergency and hospitalist medicine-trained professionals who use various medical tools for treatment.
It partners with insurance companies and collaborates with various healthcare providers and facilities to deliver in-home care, which helps to reduce unnecessary ER visits, hospital stays, and readmissions.
This partnership will provide patients with more personalised and quality care while reducing the need for extended hospital stays and readmission.

By GlobalDataThe collaboration is aimed at enabling patients to experience a smoother transition from hospitalisation to in-home care, leading to faster recovery and improved outcomes.
It focuses on shared education and alignment in providing DispatchHealth’s in-home care models while looking into patient preferences and care requirements.
The cost of healthcare is reduced due to the provision of medically appropriate in-home care services.
This partnership aims to help optimise resource allocation and elevate performance metrics for health systems.
USACS will serve an important role as a facilitator of medically appropriate care to reduce the gap between hospitals, health systems, and DispatchHealth services. This enables patients to have a smoother transition from hospitalisation to in-home care or hospital alternative care at home.
USACS CEO Christopher Hummer said: “This partnership underscores our unwavering commitment to empowering health systems to thrive in value-based care models.
“By engaging in innovative care models and continuous quality improvement, USACS and our clinicians are best positioned to facilitate the utilisation of the most appropriate site of care.
“Our work with DispatchHealth will deliver a more patient-centred approach, creating value for patients and the whole healthcare ecosystem.”
