Murwillumbah District Hospital in New South Wales (NSW), Australia, has completed an A$2m ($1.34m) renovation.
The upgrade project covered the emergency department triage area, medical imaging reception, and the palliative care room.
NSW Minister for Regional Health Ryan Park said: “Anyone needing to come to the emergency department will now be able to enter and navigate the space much more easily, which is a real benefit to this local community.
“Upgrades to the medical imaging department are also enabling patients and staff to have a better experience, improving the flow of patients through the unit, and creating a brighter and more inviting environment.
“The upgrades have made the emergency department and medical imaging areas more accessible for people with a disability.
“The investment in the future of Murwillumbah District Hospital recognises the important role it plays in delivering excellent patient-centred care, which we know the local community values highly.”
