By GlobalDataThe new facility aims to provide the same level of care as a traditional hospital-based emergency room.
Patients will have access to on-site laboratory services, digital ultrasound, digital diagnostics, and portable X-rays, as well as other CT capabilities at the new facility.
HCA Florida North Florida Hospital CEO Eric Lawson said: “HCA Florida Gainesville Emergency is another extension of the care-like-family approach we are known for here in the north central Florida community.
“The ER’s location off I-75 and Archer Road makes it a convenient access point for long-time residents and visitors alike.”
As part of the HCA Florida Healthcare network, the new emergency room ensures a seamless transition for patients requiring inpatient treatment. It connects them to a broader healthcare system that includes hospitals, physician practices, and speciality care across Florida.
This network integration is further expected to create a collaborative healthcare experience for both patients and their families.
Lawson added: “Gainesville continues to grow, and HCA Florida Gainesville Emergency is just one way we are growing with our community. Our community can expect to receive the advanced and compassionate care they deserve at HCA Florida Gainesville Emergency.”
