Overjet, an artificial intelligence (AI) solutions provider for dental organisations, has garnered $53.2m in its Series C investment round led by US-based venture capital company March Capital.
This round saw contributions from several other investors, including General Catalyst, E14 Fund, Insight Partners, Crosslink Capital, the American Dental Association, Spring Rock Capital, Harmonic Growth Partners, and Liquid 2 Ventures.
The investment values Overjet at $550m and propels its total funding to nearly $133m.
Since its inception in 2018, Overjet has been offering its AI platform for detecting, outlining, and quantifying oral diseases with millimetre precision.
Overjet also enhances the capabilities of clinicians and administrators in diagnosing, recommending care, and managing business operations.
Its AI technology is designed to support, not supplant, human expertise, with accredited professionals continuing to make all treatment and benefits decisions.

By GlobalDataThe Series C funding is set to advance Overjet’s commitment to transforming dentistry into a patient-centric field by equipping dental professionals with AI tools to enhance operational efficiency and elevate patient care standards.
Overjet will use the fresh infusion to develop more AI solutions that reduce friction and uncertainty for patients throughout their dental care journey.
The company’s vision is to create a comprehensive standard that unifies the dental care ecosystem, encompassing providers, payers, and educational institutions.
This funding follows a period of swift expansion for Overjet, which now serves thousands of dentists across private practices and large dental support organisations in North America.
To support its ongoing growth, Overjet has also bolstered its executive team with key hires, including Mike Lemire as the vice president for customer success for practice, and Mario Paganini and Matthew Ewing as senior vice presidents for marketing and revenue, respectively.
Overjet CEO Wardah Inam said: “This funding will help us further accelerate our mission to improve patient outcomes — by making dental AI ubiquitous.”
“The next step is to seamlessly connect the process of diagnosing and treating pathologies with the process of reviewing and approving claims. Soon, doctors and patients will be able to get benefits decisions in real-time — while insurers will be able to dramatically improve their member experience.”
