Brownfield Regional Medical Center, a federally designated rural health clinic (RHC) in the US, has implemented eClinicalWorks’ Sunoh.ai, an advanced artificial intelligence (AI) based medical scribe.
The latest move has helped healthcare providers to accelerate and complete their medical charting related work, with up to 40% faster documentation process.
The integration has resulted in a substantial improvement in the Brownfield Regional Medical Center’s overall efficiency.
Immediate improvements observed at Brownfield Regional Medical Center post-implementation include the completion of charts by the end of each day, a significant stride towards enhancing the clinic’s operational efficiency.
The centre, which has been grappling with physician turnover, has seen a rapid increase in patient visits, from 9,000 to 19,000 annually over four years.
This surge placed a heavy burden on the clinic’s two physicians and nurse practitioners.

By GlobalDataPrior to the Sunoh.ai implementation, efforts to streamline charting were insufficient to keep pace with the growing patient volume, leading to delays in completing medical records.
Sunoh.ai is an advanced AI solution that transcribes consultations and generates customised highlights, alerts, next steps, and patient visit summaries for physician review.
It further gathers all the essential details such as referrals, imaging, medication instructions, lab orders, as well as follow-up appointments.
The AI tool’s seamless integration with the company’s other apps, including eClinicalMobile and eClinicalTouch, extends its functionality across various devices, including computers running Microsoft Windows and macOS, iPads, and both iOS and Android smartphones.
Brownfield Regional Medical Center hospital and clinic operations director Michael Tackitt said: “Sunoh.ai’s benefits extend beyond its speedy turnaround. A significant outcome noted by our medical staff is how detailed our charts are now.
“It helps capture the whole dialogue. These comprehensive notes provide a full narrative of patient histories and complaints. The early adoption of the AI medical scribe will provide long-term benefits for medical practices.”
Recently, Primary Care Medical Partners selected eClinicalWorks’ AI-driven electronic health record (EHR) solutions and Sunoh.ai to improve workflow and reduce physician burnout.
