AllSpire Health GPO has chosen technology-driven healthcare improvement company Premier as its primary national GPO to support over $3.5bn in annual purchasing volume.
Premier is set to enhance AllSpire’s contract portfolio, aiming for efficiencies and patient care.
The partnership involves 54 acute care hospitals and more than 12,200 licensed acute beds transitioning to Premier GPO members.
It is expected to go live in January next year.
As part of the collaboration, Premier will utilise its scale and data to review products and services, aiding AllSpire in developing an enhanced contract portfolio.
This initiative is further designed to propel economic success and deliver better patient care for AllSpire Health GPO members and the communities they serve, Premier added.

This approach reflects a tailored strategy to meet the specific needs of AllSpire’s member hospitals.
Additionally, AllSpire members will gain access to Premier’s performance improvement technology.
This platform will aggregate and standardise spending and utilisation data alongside the procure-to-pay (P2P) system by Premier, which automates payment and invoicing to reduce waste and save time.
These technological solutions are expected to streamline operations for healthcare providers and suppliers alike.
Furthermore, AllSpire members will benefit from Premier’s dedicated sourcing and contracting experts.
These specialists will identify cost-saving opportunities and foster supply chain innovation.
The expertise provided by Premier aims to enhance the operational efficiency of AllSpire’s member organisations significantly.
