AvaSure, a provider of intelligent virtual care platforms for the healthcare industry, has joined forces with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and technology giant NVIDIA to develop an AI-powered virtual concierge.
Expected to be available next year, the concierge is being designed to optimise clinical workflows and enhance patient care across hospitals and healthcare systems.
This collaboration seeks to leverage the strengths of AvaSure’s platform, Oracle’s AI capabilities, and NVIDIA’s accelerated computing infrastructure.
As part of the virtual concierge development process, AvaSure will integrate its Intelligent Virtual Care Platform with Oracle’s AI offerings, including OCI Compute, as well as NVIDIA’s advanced computing infrastructure, featuring NVIDIA NIM microservices and NVIDIA H200 Tensor Core GPUs.
The goal is to create a seamless AI-driven bedside experience through smart rooms that can function across various hospital departments.
According to AvaSure, healthcare organisations are increasingly turning to AI-based solutions to address challenges such as staffing shortages, rising costs, and complex patient needs.

By GlobalDataThe new virtual concierge aims to alleviate workflow burdens on bedside staff by triaging staff and patient requests in real time, thus serving as a critical point of assistance for clinicians, patients, and their families.
This concierge will operate similarly to voice-activated home assistants.
By using a ‘wake word’, nurses can swiftly request support, access language translation services, and more, thereby enhancing care delivery and the clinical work environment.
For patients and families, it will simplify communication, allowing them to request items or health guidance, and ensuring prompt attention to their needs.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure executive vice president Mahesh Thiagarajan said: “With OCI AI infrastructure, AvaSure will be able to speed up clinical workflows while leveraging OCI’s full-stack protection that is secure by design to accelerate innovation in care delivery.”
AvaSure CEO Adam McMullin said: “We are excited to explore how incorporating AvaSure’s expertise in virtual care with OCI’s AI infrastructure and NVIDIA’s advanced NIM microservices can help create a solution to redefine how care is delivered in hospitals and health systems, empowering care teams to provide more efficient and effective patient care.”
