Suki, an AI technology provider for healthcare, has announced the deployment of its AI Assistant across more than 12 health systems using MEDITECH Expanse.
This move is aimed at making healthcare technology assistive to enable clinicians to concentrate on patient care.
Last year, Suki collaborated with MEDITECH, a healthcare technology company with one of the largest electronic health record systems.
This collaboration enables users of MEDITECH Expanse to use a comprehensive voice AI assistant, streamlining their daily workflows.
The Suki Assistant offers AI-powered dictation for MEDITECH Expanse users, combining voice-to-text and generative AI technologies. This feature allows clinicians to easily complete any field in the EHR using voice commands.
Since the collaboration with MEDITECH, Suki partnered with various health systems, namely St. Mary’s Healthcare, Decatur County Memorial Hospital, Citizens Memorial, Ozarks Healthcare, Goshen Health, Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare, and Holyoke Medical Center.

By GlobalDataThis integrated speech AI solution is said to enhance the quality of the clinicians’ notes while lowering cognitive strain and administrative workload.
St. Mary’s Healthcare deployed the Suki Assistant earlier this year and quickly observed a reduction in documentation burden and an improvement in note quality for the clinicians.
Decatur County Memorial Hospital partnered with Suki to reduce clinician burnout and time spent on documentation, freeing up more time for patient care.
Suki Partnerships vice-president Heather Miller said: “As the ambient AI space has become more crowded in recent years, Suki has sought to become the platform where we not only get deployed in health systems, but are actually utilised day-in-and-day-out to improve interactions for clinicians and patients alike.
“A key to accomplishing this mission has been focusing on EHR integrations with incredible partners like MEDITECH, which has driven adoption of our product and placed us directly with great health systems like St. Mary’s and Decatur.”
