The Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), in partnership with Stamford Health, has launched a new regional outpatient centre (OPC) in Westport, Connecticut, US.

Dubbed HSS Orthopedics with Stamford Health – Westport, the facility, which spans nearly 10,000ft² will expand the Fairfield County footprint of the partnership.

Located at 276 Post Road West, the new centre is said to be the second venture in the Westport area following the HSS Sports Rehab-Westport that opened in 2022.

Operational Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, the Westport OPC is equipped with seven provider offices, 12 exam rooms and two x-ray suites managed by Stamford Health Radiology.

The centre’s staff, comprising expert physicians, will deliver care across various disciplines, including hand and upper extremities, joint replacement, physiatry, spine, and both surgical and non-surgical sports medicine.

HSS Orthopedics with Stamford Health – Westport sports medicine surgeon and medical director Samuel Taylor said: “We’re really excited to build on the commitment we’ve made alongside Stamford Health to enhance orthopaedic care options to the residents of Westport and surrounding areas.

“Patients now have increased access to world-class orthopaedic care across a broad range of services.”

Furthermore, the Westport OPC will soon launch HSS Orthopedics Now, which will offer expedited orthopaedic care for sudden injuries and pain to patients aged 12 years and older.
