US-based healthcare organisation PeaceHealth Medical Group has signed a definitive agreement for the acquisition of four clinic sites of Providence Medical Group in Clark County.

This development is part of PeaceHealth’s plans to expand healthcare services in the region.

Providence Medical Group Esther Short Clinic, Providence Camas Medical Office Building, Providence Mill Plain Medical Office Building, and Providence Vancouver Rehabilitation are the four clinics set to be acquired by PeaceHealth.

The acquisition includes primary care, walk-in care, and outpatient rehabilitation services across the four clinics.

By acquiring these outpatient care sites, PeaceHealth aims to provide patients with more accessible primary, speciality, and hospital care services.

These facilities employ approximately 100 staff members, including physicians and nurses, who will receive various positions with PeaceHealth following the closing of the deal

PeaceHealth Medical Group chief medical officer Melissa Edwards said: “We want current clinic patients to know that while the names of the clinics are changing, their care team who they know, and trust, remains the same.”

“Both PeaceHealth and Providence share a common mission and commitment to ensuring this acquisition is seamless and does not disrupt quality patient care.”

PeaceHealth’s acquisition is expected to close in December this year, subject to standard regulatory reviews.

Following this, the clinics will be rebranded under the PeaceHealth name.

The Providence Mill Plain Occupational Medicine is not part of the prospective acquisition, the group noted.

Providence Medical Group CEO  Ben LeBlanc said: “Given PeaceHealth’s extensive speciality and acute care footprint in Clark County, we believe this acquisition will greatly benefit the community and provide enhanced continuity of care for current clinic patients.”
