Health system Cottage Hospital has partnered with ShiftMed, a provider of on-demand workforce technology, to introduce flexible working opportunities for healthcare professionals (HCPs) in New Hampshire, US.

The partnership will also help the health system to enhance its staffing capabilities.

This collaboration marks Cottage Hospital as the first health system in the state to provide on-demand work options for local nurses through ShiftMed’s platform and its network of credentialed HCPs.

Cottage Hospital president and CEO Holly A McCormack said: “We are committed to improving the health of both our community and workforce by delivering accessible, compassionate, and high-quality care. 

“This partnership not only allows us to elevate the care we provide to our patients, but also empowers us to prioritise the well-being of our staff while welcoming local nurses on a per diem basis.”

The initiative will allow local nurses to take control of their schedules by picking up per diem shifts at Cottage Hospital.
