Jackson Hospital, a not-for-profit acute care facility serving Montgomery and the Alabama River Region, has named healthcare company Medline as its primary supplier for environmental services (EVS) products.
The partnership aims to improve the hospital’s operational efficiency and cleanliness standards.
Jackson Hospital materials management director Mark Yarema said: “Medline has been a reliable partner through thick and thin.
“Consistently delivering supplies across Alabama, with no interruption, even during hurricane season, their dependability gives us confidence that we’ll remain fully stocked, no matter the challenges.
“This trust is key to our ongoing relationship, and we look forward to expanding our partnership with Medline.”
Medline had served as Jackson Health’s medical-surgical prime vendor partner for more than nine years before the EVS agreement was signed.

By GlobalDataThe agreement will provide Jackson Hospital with an ‘extensive’ portfolio of EVS products and services, with the aim to improve safety and cleanliness.
The hospital will also gain access to Medline’s online platform, which offers real-time visibility into product availability and analytics, allowing staff to concentrate on patient care.
Medline said that Jackson Hospital would benefit from its manufacturer-direct pricing model, which includes reduced distribution fees and maximised rebates.
By standardising products and right-sizing inventory, the hospital aims to reduce the number of stock-keeping units while minimising the risk of product expiration and increasing bulk purchasing at better rates.
Medline division sales manager Tyler Windham said: “We are thrilled to extend our partnership with Jackson Hospital and support its mission to deliver the highest standards of patient care.
“This new EVS portion of business allows us to continue driving value and improving outcomes by helping to ensure that the hospital’s environment is clean, safe and conducive to healing.”
Last month, Medline signed a prime vendor distribution agreement with California-based community hospital Kaweah Health for medical and surgical supplies.
