Rheumatology Associates of Oklahoma (RAO) in the US has implemented the eClinicalWorks AI Assistant for Images solution, which is designed to automate document recognition and match inbound faxes, increasing productivity.
This AI technology routes incoming faxes directly into suitable patient records.
RAO is known for its patient-centric approach to rheumatology care and has seen multiple benefits, including cost reduction and staff satisfaction from the AI assistant’s integration.
RAO practice manager Heather Smyth said: “Implementing eClinicalWorks Image AI assistant has helped reduce administrative burdens.
“With a substantial accuracy rate, the AI assistant is a lot faster than having to look the patient up manually, select the patient’s name, then go to their hub and their documents, to ensure we are not attaching a duplicate image in their chart. Additionally, it helps improve staff productivity, streamline workflows, and enhance clinical efficiency.”
The AI assistant has saved RAO staff one to three minutes per fax, enabling them to allocate more time to other critical tasks.
