US-based Fort Wayne Medical Oncology and Hematology (FWMOH) has partnered with the American Oncology Network (AON) to expand patient-focused services while maintaining quality care.

This collaboration is part of FWMOH’s plan to expand its reach and capabilities in the region.

FWMOH board-certified medical oncologist and president Dr Praveen Kollipara said: “We are thrilled to join the American Oncology Network.

“We’ve recently added the leading gynaecologic oncologists in northeastern Indiana and expanded our presence in Peru and Warsaw. With AON’s support, we will pursue additional growth initiatives and innovations to enhance care for more patients in the region.”

FWMOH operates nine locations staffed by 16 board-certified medical oncologists and two gynaecologic oncologists.

The recent addition of oncologists Dr Iwona Podzielinski and Dr Scott Goodrich, who joined in November as part of Fort Wayne Gynecologic Oncology, a division of FWMOH, was in anticipation of the collaboration.

Dr Podzielinski said: “FWMOH and AON share a deep commitment to delivering innovative, high-quality, and personalised cancer care in a community setting.

“This partnership strengthens our ability to offer cutting-edge treatments while maintaining the patient-centred approach our patients trust. We look forward to the expanded services this collaboration will bring, enhancing convenience and improving outcomes for the patients we serve.”

The cancer care offered by FWMOH encompasses laboratory services, a variety of oral and IV infusion treatment options, PET/CT imaging, survivorship programmes, clinical trials, and patient support.

FWMOH clinics feature on-site infusion suites and private exam rooms to ensure patient comfort and privacy during treatment, reducing the travel burdens for patients and their families.

AON is a collaboration of healthcare leaders and physicians and its growing network now includes more than 290 providers across 21 states.
