Huntington Hospital has entered into a definitive agreement to become an affiliate of Cedars-Sinai Health System, following a letter of intent (LoI) signed in March this year.
The definitive agreement will be reviewed by all the relevant government regulators.
As part of the proposed affiliation, Huntington Hospital will continue to receive investment for enterprise information technology, boosting ambulatory services and physician development.
In addition, the deal will facilitate partnerships with other Cedars-Sinai Health System entities to allow access to affordable care across the region.
Huntington Hospital president and CEO Lori Morgan said: “With our institutions’ shared focus on delivering exceptional, compassionate care to those we serve, I am confident that an affiliation with Cedars-Sinai Health System will enable Huntington Hospital to advance clinical quality and outcomes, sustain our legacy of providing outstanding patient care and maintain active engagement with all our communities.”
Established in 2017, Cedars-Sinai Health System consists of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital and Torrance Memorial. It also comprises joint ventures such as California Rehabilitation Institute and Cedars-Sinai Providence Tarzana Medical Center.
