Beverly Knight Children’s Hospital Navicent Health in the US state of Georgia has deployed the Vocera Ease application in its neonatal intensive care unit (NNICU).
With the help of Vocera Ease, nurses, doctors, and other care team members can send texts and photo to infants’ loved ones in real time.
To implement Vocera Ease application, the hospital’s NNICU team applied for a Pampers Bright Beginnings NICU Connectivity Grant,
The hospital’s 66-bed NNICU cares for over 700 infants every year from the 29 surrounding counties in central and southern parts of Georgia.
The patient’s loved ones who receive real-time Ease updates can respond with thumbs up, heart, or prayer hands emojis to show support to the team members.
On viewing, the messages and pictures disappear after 60 seconds and nothing gets saved on the mobile, thereby providing an additional layer of security and privacy.
