Indiana University Health Goshen Hospital, a part of Indiana’s Integrated Delivery Network (IDN), has installed the Vantage Titan 1.5T MR system from Toshiba America Medical Systems in its heart and vascular centre.
Titan 1.5T MR system supports the heart and vascular centre to improve patient outcomes with high-quality imaging and a comprehensive suite of patient focused technologies.
The system provides several patient focused features, including a 71cm open bore that reduces anxiety related to claustrophobia.
IU Health Goshen Hospital imaging services director Melody Ernsberger said: "The Titan’s patient friendly features, including its noise reduction capability, large open bore and non-contrast techniques have increased our patient satisfaction and safety.
"For instance, these features have allowed us to decrease sedation and the need for contrast in certain procedures.
"The Titan 1.5T also fit our business needs, as the feature-rich system included everything we needed without having to pay extra for additional technologies."
