Technology-driven solutions provider R1 RCM has signed an agreement to exclusively provide revenue cycle management (RCM) services for 61 long-term acute care hospitals (LTACHs) of ScionHealth.
Launched in December last year, ScionHealth is a new health system that comprises these LTACHs owned by Kindred Healthcare earlier.
It also has 18 short-term acute care community hospitals that were earlier owned by LifePoint Health.
ScionHealth chief financial officer Joel Day said: “R1’s expertise will help us to standardise our approach across our LTACHs, enable greater use of data to drive optimal financial outcomes and ensure our dedicated hospital team members can remain focused on providing patients the highest quality care.
“Equally important, R1’s culture and values align closely with ours, and we are confident that they value the talents and contributions of our revenue cycle team members.”
The collaboration has been designed to support the ScionHealth portfolio of LTACHs in providing better patient outcomes with new technology and services.
