Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 56.83% in April 2022, a 14.16% rise over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 14.98% in April 2022, marking an 112.5% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 11.01% in April 2022, a flat growth from March 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 11.84% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s just drinks industry during April 2022 over previous month.
PepsiCo posted 56 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered an increase of 9.8% over the previous month, followed by Carlsberg with 46 jobs and a 17.95% growth. The Coca-Cola with 25 IT jobs and Coca-Cola Consolidated with 23 jobs, recorded a 56.25% rise and a 64.29% rise, respectively, while Fomento Economico Mexicano SAB de CV recorded a 37.5% decline with 20 job postings during April 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s just drinks industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s just drinks industry IT hiring activity with an 81.94% share in April 2022, a 24% increase over March 2022. Mexico featured next with a 16.3% share, down 2.63% over the previous month. Canada recorded a 1.76% share, a drop of 55.56% compared with March 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.04%, up by 22.31% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 14.98% share, registered a decline of 19.05% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 12.78% share, up 16% over March 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 2.2%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
