April 2022 has seen a decrease of 11.02% in the overall hiring activity when compared with March 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 1.6% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in April 2022, registering a decrease of 0.25% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in April 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 45.45% in April 2022, a 23.08% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 27.27% in April 2022, marking a 50% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 13.64% in April 2022, a 55% drop from March 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 21.43% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s healthcare industry during April 2022 over previous month.
Ministry of Health, New South Wales, Australia posted 34 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a decline of 44.26% over the previous month, followed by Ryman Healthcare with 10 jobs and a flat growth. Apria Healthcare Group with 4 IT jobs and Genesis Care with 4 jobs, recorded a 50% drop and a flat growth, respectively, while Apollo Hospitals Enterprise recorded a 200% increase with 3 job postings during April 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s healthcare industry
Australia commanded a leading presence in the region’s healthcare industry IT hiring activity with a 62.12% share in April 2022, a 35.94% decrease over March 2022. New Zealand featured next with a 15.15% share, flat growth over the previous month. India recorded a 13.64% share, a drop of 30.77% compared with March 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.27%, down by 13.56% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 13.64% share, registered a decline of 47.06% compared with the previous month.
