The industry’s overall hiring increased by 11.36% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.
Out of the healthcare industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 0.66% share in May 2022, recording a decrease of 0.05% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 20% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada’s healthcare industry during May 2022 over April 2022.
Alberta Health Services posted 14 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a drop of 36.36% over the previous month, followed by Penticton Regional Hospital with 6 jobs and a 20% growth. McKesson with 5 IT jobs and Vancouver Coastal Health with 2 jobs, recorded a 25% growth and a 50% decrease, respectively, while Grace Hospital recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.67%, down by 20% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 16.67% share, registered a decline of 28.57% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 16.67% share, down 28.57% over April 2022.
