The Clark Construction team has completed the structural concrete on the new 575,000ft2- healthcare facility (Building C) of P-114 Medical Center Addition and Alteration at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, US.
Clark team members were joined by representatives from the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC), the Defense Health Agency (DHA), Medical Facilities Program Office (MFPO), Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Command (WRNMMC), and the project’s craftworkers to celebrate this milestone.
Workers poured 35,276 cubic yards of concrete to give Building C its full height over the last year.
The P-114 Medical Center Addition and Alteration project is being finished in phases so that the hospital will continue to remain fully operational even during the construction phase.
The first phase started in the first quarter of 2020 with interior demolition.
Upon its completion, it will feature 47,000ft2 of medical office space along with four new MRI rooms.

Set to commence in Q3 2024, the second phase will see two additional buildings being demolished which will make way for 38,000ft2 of medical office space, an auditorium that can accommodate 318 people, and a chapel that can seat 104 people.
The project is scheduled to complete in spring 2027.
