Meadville Medical Center in the US state of Pennsylvania has selected Authentidate’s Electronic House Call (EHC) remote vital signs monitoring solution for its chronic disease management programme.
The Medical Center will use the EHC solution to monitor patients with congestive heart failure (CHF) and other chronic diseases.
The EHC remote patient monitoring solution will provide required updates of patient data to healthcare providers to oversee the progress of their patients, allowing for improved patient care.
Healthcare providers can view each patient’s vital statistics and make adjustment to care plans, which is then communicated to the patient via the EHC device.
The EHC touch screen device will deliver automated reminders and increase patients’ compliance with care plans, diets, medication schedules and follow-up physician visits.
The system can also educate patients about the disease management and be used for patients who require ongoing management of diabetes, hypertension and sleep apnea.

"The electronic house call solution will allow our clinicians to remotely monitor our patients’ conditions and continue to coordinate their care after they leave the hospital," Bittman added.
"Electronic house call is designed for this type of programme and includes the intuitive technology and rich feature-set that we were seeking to support our continuous care objectives."
