State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical University is set to install TeraMedica’s Evercore enterprise vendor neutral architecture across two hospitals and other regional imaging facilities in New York early next year.
TeraMedica’s software stores and distributes digital medical images as well as other clinical content across healthcare and hospital systems.
TeraMedica president and CEO Jim Prekop said that by deploying Evercore, SUNY Upstate Medical University will see immediate consolidation of storage costs, control and reduce cost ownership, and realise all the benefits of the electronic medical record.
”Evercore efficiently combines clinical objects in a central clinical content manager, while also satisfying the medical team’s need for a holistic view of patient data in real time," Prekop added.
SUNY Upstate Medical University CIO Teresa Wagner said that Evercore allows it to identify and retrieve all patient-centric images independent of modality, picture archiving and communication system (PACS) or physical site.
”In addition to delivering these operational efficiencies, our staff can improve patient care by rapidly identifying all images on a patient throughout the network, while inside the electronic medical record," Wagner added.
