Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, US, has broken ground on a $52m hospital expansion project, reported kmbc.com.
The project will see a 62,000ft² addition to the hospital and is slated to be complete in 2025.
Saint Luke’s Hospital’s south and east region president and CEO Bobby Olm-Shipman was quoted by the website as saying: “We plan to grow with the community.
“So as Lee’s Summit as a whole has grown quite a bit over the last several years, and St Luke’s East has grown almost nonstop since 2006 to keep pace with the community. We continue to grow with the community.”
Meanwhile, the hospital is also renovating a 52,000ft² building.
In 2022, the 238-bed hospital received a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for its safety, efficacy and patient experience standards.
