April 2021 has seen an decrease of 2.82% in the overall hiring activity when compared with March 2021.
IT jobs accounted for a 39.54% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in April 2021, registering an increase of 3.96% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in April 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 88.6% in April 2021, a 9.41% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 4.39% in April 2021, marking a 4.31% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 3.26% in April 2021, a 14.84% drop from March 2021.

Top five healthcare companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in April 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 10.92% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s healthcare industry during April 2021 over previous month.
Accenture posted 8,675 IT jobs in April 2021 and registered a decline of 2.55% over the previous month, followed by Oracle with 1,046 jobs and an 11.95% drop. Cognizant Technology Solutions with 480 IT jobs and International Business Machines with 391 jobs, recorded a 2.83% decline and a 71.14% drop, respectively, while Cisco Systems recorded a 3.77% an increase with 303 job postings during April 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s healthcare industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s healthcare industry IT hiring activity with a 91.13% share in April 2021, a 10.92% decline over March 2021. Philippines featured next with a 2.23% share, up 44.92% over the previous month. Australia recorded a 1.47% share, a drop of 20.54% compared with March 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 55.46%, up by 87.19% from March 2021. Mid Level positions with a 39.04% share, a decline of 49.5% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 4.35% share, up 30.69% over March 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.15%, recording a month-on-month growth of 100%.
