April 2021 has seen an increase of 1.69% in the overall hiring activity when compared with March 2021.
IT jobs accounted for a 22.46% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in April 2021, registering decrease of 0.9% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in April 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 64.73% in April 2021, a 14.71% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 13.84% in April 2021, marking a 24% month-on-month an increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 10.27% in April 2021, a 35.29% growth from March 2021.

Top five healthcare companies in Middle East & Africa’s IT recruitment activity in April 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 13.45% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s healthcare industry during April 2021 over previous month.
International Business Machines posted 36 IT jobs in April 2021 and registered a decline of 26.53% over the previous month, followed by Discovery with 36 jobs and a 16.13% growth. BayBridgeDigital with 24 IT jobs and KBC Group with 20 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 33.33% increase, respectively, while Oracle recorded a 20.83% decline with 19 job postings during April 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s healthcare industry
Israel commanded a leading presence in the region’s healthcare industry IT hiring activity with a 38.84% share in April 2021, an 8.75% rise over March 2021. South Africa featured next with a 20.09% share, down 8.16% over the previous month. Egypt recorded a 10.27% share, a growth of 21.05% compared with March 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.86%, down by 1.3% from March 2021. Mid Level positions with a 22.77% share, a growth of 10.87% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.59% share, down 60.47% over March 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.79%, recording a month-on-month growth of 0%.
