Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Occupations, with a share of 40%, emerged as the top smart hospitals-related job roles within the healthcare industry in Q3 2023, with new job postings drop by 37% quarter-on-quarter. Healthcare Support Occupations came in second with a share of 8% in Q3 2023, with new job postings dropping by 16% over the previous quarter.
The other prominent smart hospitals roles include Office and Administrative Support Occupations with a 6% share in Q3 2023, Management Occupations with a 5% share of new job postings.
Top five companies in healthcare industry accounted for 24% of hiring activity
The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q3 2023 were Methodist Health System, Banner Health, Your World Healthcare, Post Acute Medical, and Baptist Memorial Health Care. Together they accounted for a combined share of 24% of all smart hospitals-related new jobs in the healthcare industry.
Methodist Health System posted 691 smart hospitals-related new jobs in Q3 2023, Banner Health 515 jobs, Your World Healthcare 482 jobs, Post Acute Medical 253 jobs, and Baptist Memorial Health Care 238 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.
