The cities of Phoenix and Tucson are each home to three of the ten biggest general hospitals in the state of Arizona while the remaining top four hospitals are in Glendale, Mesa, Sun City and Scottsdale.

1. Banner-University Medical Center Phoenix – 755 beds
The Banner-University Medical Center Phoenix, formerly called the Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center, is the biggest hospital in Arizona, with 755 beds.
Located in Phoenix, the multi-speciality teaching and research hospital is affiliated with the University of Arizona College of Medicine and is the largest medical and surgical facility of Banner Health, a non-profit academic health system that merged with the University of Arizona Health Network in Tucson, Arizona, to form Banner-University Medicine in February 2015.
