The cities of Louisville and Lexington are home to four and three of Kentucky’s ten largest general hospitals, respectively. The state’s remaining top three hospitals are located in Edgewood, Owensboro and Ashland.

1. Norton Hospital – 605 beds
The Norton Hospital in Louisville is Kentucky’s largest hospital, with 605 inpatient beds.
Affiliated with the University of Louisville School of Medicine, the multi-speciality teaching and research hospital is the flagship medical campus of non-profit health system Norton Healthcare.
