Acadia Healthcare has acquired three opioid treatment programme clinics in South Carolina, US.
They are the company’s first Comprehensive Treatment Centers (CTCs) in the state.
These facilities, which provide treatment for opioid use disorder, will now operate under the Acadia brand.
The acquired clinics, previously known as Recovery Concepts, Recovery Concepts of the Carolina Upstate, and Clear Skye Treatment Center, will be rebranded as Clinton Comprehensive Treatment Center, Easley Comprehensive Treatment Center, and Ridgeland Comprehensive Treatment Center.
Acadia CEO Chris Hunter said: “South Carolina is an underserved market with clear, unmet treatment demand for those suffering from opioid use disorder.
“We are proud to help address the needs of the patients, families and communities who will benefit from individualised, high-touch support. These three clinics have excellent reputations in creating positive outcomes for patients through the combination of medication-assisted treatment and clinical services.”

Acadia’s CTCs are known for their medication-assisted treatment programmes that blend behavioural therapy with medication for treating opioid use disorders.
The services offered at each CTC include medical, vocational, counselling, educational, and other support services.
The treatment models at these centres are diverse, offering individual and group therapy, outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalisation/day treatment, and other programmes.
Acadia acquired three CTCs in North Carolina, earlier this year, expanding its treatment services.
With these latest acquisitions, Acadia’s CTC division now operates 165 locations across 33 states, treating over 72,000 patients daily.
