AdventHealth has commenced construction work on its new ten-storey hospital at 10999 Narcoossee Road in Florida, US.
The facility is poised to provide a wide range of medical treatments to patients from Central Florida, the Lake Nona community, and international visitors.
AdventHealth stated that the initial phase has so far seen significant groundwork, with thousands of tonnes of soil removed and over 1,000 concrete piles installed underground to form the foundation of the hospital.
The hospital’s opening is scheduled with an initial capacity of 80 beds, with the infrastructure designed to allow expansion for up to 320 beds.
A diverse range of services will be available at the new hospital such as cardiology, bariatric procedures, men’s health, neurology and orthopaedics, among others.
In addition, the hospital is set to house an incision-less surgical suite, which will underline the use of focused-energy treatments such as ultrasound techniques to destroy tumours and alleviate tremors in Parkinson’s disease patients.
