US-based non-profit healthcare network AdventHealth has opened a greenfield hospital in Riverview, Florida, to offer healthcare services to the South Hillsborough County community.
The 282,000ft² AdventHealth Riverview facility has 82 beds, with plans for expansion to 202 beds in future.
At present, 60% of the hospital’s space is dedicated to patient care, with the remaining 40% reserved for future expansion to meet community needs.
The hospital’s amenities include surgery rooms with mobile X-ray machines, a hybrid operating room, and the latest Da Vinci 5 surgical robotic systems.
A mother and baby unit is also part of the facility, featuring eight labour and delivery rooms and two C-section rooms.
The hospital provides a range of services, including emergency care, cardiology and various surgical specialities.

AdventHealth Riverview is strategically located to reduce pressure on nearby hospitals and provide services to residents in Apollo Beach, Gibsonton, Lithia, Riverview, Sun City Center and Wimauma.
The hospital was built by Robins & Morton, with HuntonBrady serving as the architect.
