Adventist Health Simi Valley has launched its newly designed clinic in the US to improve healthcare accessibility for the local community.

It hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the inauguration of the Sycamore Primary & Specialty Care Clinic.

This event was attended by members of the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce, local city officials, Adventist Health Simi Valley executives, and physicians affiliated with Adventist Health Medical Group.

The facility merges two previous clinics into a single location, offering extended access to speciality and primary care services.

Situated in Simi Valley, California, the clinic offers expanded operating hours to provide patients with improved flexibility, especially those requiring care outside traditional working hours.

Adventist Health Simi Valley president Alice Issai said: “It’s no coincidence that Adventist Health Simi Valley has been a trusted community resource for 60 years — we continually evolve to meet the needs of our neighbours.

“With this new clinic, we’re taking a significant step toward ensuring that every patient receives timely, coordinated and compassionate care.”

The design of the clinic was informed by a six-month collaborative process involving physicians and staff from both former clinics, culminating in a space that lessens wait times, enhances patient flow, and improves care coordination.

Issai added: “This clinic represents our ongoing commitment to keeping healthcare local, efficient and patient-centred.”

The 136-bed acute-care hospital Adventist Health Simi Valley, founded in 1965, serves the Ventura County area, including Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Moorpark and the west San Fernando Valley in the US.

The hospital and its five clinics offer a range of medical services, including robotic surgery, cardiology, neurology and stroke care, with a focus on patient safety.

In February 2024, Adventist Health entered a definitive agreement for the acquisition of two Tenet Healthcare hospitals and associated operations in San Luis Obispo County.

Concurrently, Tenet’s Conifer Health Solutions subsidiary will provide revenue cycle services to Adventist Health.
